In February 2026, Empowered Africa Foundation successfully completed its first outreach project at a primary school in Todze.

With the support of donors and volunteers:

  • Essential learning materials were delivered
  • The team engaged directly with students and teachers
  • Additional needs were identified for future phases

The event was filled with joy, gratitude, and a strong sense of community.

What We Learned

Our visit highlighted additional needs such as:

  • School shoes
  • Uniforms
  • Ongoing educational support

These insights are shaping our next phase of work.

January 2025 - Ho Outreach

In January 2025, Empowered Africa carried out its first community outreach in Ho, in the Volta Region of Ghana. This event marked the beginning of our mission to support underserved schools and ensure that every child has the tools they need to learn and thrive.

During this visit, our team worked with local school leaders to identify immediate needs and provide practical support to pupils who were facing significant challenges due to limited resources.

Our Impact

Through the generosity of our supporters, we were able to assist close to 200 pupils across three primary schools by providing essential learning materials.

For many of the children, these supplies meant:
• Having their own exercise books and stationery
• Being able to participate fully in classroom activities
• Renewed confidence and excitement about coming to school

The joy and gratitude from both pupils and teachers confirmed the importance of this work and the difference that timely support can make.

What We Learned

Our time in Ho also gave us valuable insight into the broader challenges facing many schools, including:
• Limited access to basic educational materials
• Overstretched classroom resources
• The financial burden on families to provide school essentials

These experiences helped shape Empowered Africa’s approach — working closely with communities, responding to real needs, and building support in phases for sustainable impact.

Laying the Foundation

The Ho outreach was more than a one-day event. It was the foundation of Empowered Africa’s ongoing commitment to:
• Supporting underserved schools
• Removing barriers to education
• Building long-term partnerships with communities

Most importantly, it showed us what is possible when people come together around a shared purpose.
